Just a little bit about each of us :)

Taylor Powell is the son of Ann and Ron Powell. He is a Senior at Virginia Tech finishing up a degree in Accounting with a minor in leadership. I, Emily Sunday, am the daughter of Steve and Bobbie Sunday. I graduated from Virginia Tech in May 2008 with a degree in Biology. We both attended James River High School and we have lived in Richmond, Va all of our lives. We were members of the Marching Virginians during our time at Virginia Tech and we both played the trombone. Taylor is co-chair of the student budget board for VT and he is also a VP for the homecoming board. He is a member of the Order of the Gavel also so he stays very busy at school. I currently work at Virginia Women's Center as a medical assistant. We plan on moving to Florida in August where Taylor will be working for an accounting firm and I will hopefully be attending graduate school. That is just a little info on us :)

How we met :)

Taylor and I met in middle school. It was love at first sight as we sat next to each other in jazz band playing our trombones. The romance did not blossom until the spring of my senior year of high school, however. For the past five years our relationship has grown into an amazing life together that no one could have planned. We spent three great years together at Virginia Tech that helped us to realize how blessed we are to have each other. For my graduation/my birthday, Taylor took me to New York City for the weekend. On May 23rd we got engaged in Manhattan park and then had an amazing meal at Mesa Grill in the NYC. Now is the exciting part of planning the big day! We are so excited to be getting married on June 13th, 2009 and to be moving to Florida in the following months. It is going to be an amazing journey!
